• The natural manufacturing process for these insoles has not changed since the Egyptians developed it. Dating back to ancient Egypt, this vegetable tanning technique transforms a raw skin into a supple, strong and rotproof material called "leather" by soaking the skins in containers with tannins extracted from oak, birch, willow, mimosa or exotic wood bark which adds resistance against parasites.
